About Pastor Marius

Marius E. Marton heard the Lord call him to ministry in 1994 during his musical studies at Baldwin Wallace College Conservatory of Music in Berea, Ohio.

In 1996, he attended the Black Hills Health and Education Center Training in South Dakota. Pastor Louis Torres trained him to become a Lay Evangelist. Marius served in that capacity for about twelve years holding over 45 Evangelistic Series in the States, Hungary and Romania.

For a short period he also served as youth pastor in the Atlanta First Romanian Seventh-day Adventist Church.

In 1998, Marius was invited to serve as pastor in the Northern Transylvanian Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Romania. It was there that he met his wife, Marika. Marika was a devoted Christian teaching an adult Sabbath School Class and was a very successful teacher in the children’s Sabbath School as well. God provided the way for them to work together in ministry. While Marika continues ministering to the female parishioners and children, she is a strong support for her husband. She also volunteers her time as teacher aid at the Northern Ohio Adventist Academy (NOAA) Seventh-day Adventist School. Marika faithfully serves in the kitchen during fellowship dinners serving her delicious vegetarian dishes with her flamboyant smiles.

Marius and Marika was called to serve a district in the Ohio Conference in 2007 where he was ordained in 2010. Marton received his Master of Divinity in 2012 from United Theological Seminary located in Dayton, Ohio and will receive his Doctor of Ministry in May, 2015 from the same Seminary. Marius is member of the International Conference of Police Chaplains where he ministers to Law Enforcement Officers as chaplain. Marton is also an accomplished musician, a talent he frequently uses in his ministry as composer, performer and conductor.

God blessed this pastoral couple with two wonderful boys, Landen and Austin.

The Martons love the Lord, serve Him with joy, and cordially invite everyone to join them in preparing for the glorious day of Jesus’ appearance as King of Kings to take His children home.

We are happy to welcome them to serve our church congregation and community and wish God’s abundant blessings upon their ministry.
